Obituary for Dianne Evelyn Keleher

WINSTED – Dianne Eyelyn (Bezanson) Keleher, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family after doing her very best to beat lung cancer. She was the loving wife of Robert “Bob” Keleher for 55 years. Dianne was born on August 16, 1941 in Hartford; the daughter of the late Gordon H. and Evelyn (Meyers) Bezanson.

She grew up in Canton where she spent spent her summers at Secret Lake, attended local schools and graduated from Canton High School. After school, Dianne attended Lasell Jr. College in Newton, MA where she received a degree in Secretarial Sciences. On April 20, 1963, she married Bob and together they raised three children, Tracy, Shawn and Ted. Bob and Dianne raised their children in Winsted where Dianne worked at various jobs. The job that gave her the most joy besides being a mom, was her employment of 20+ years at Capitol Products. She thought of everyone that worked there as family. In her spare time, she loved to read, bake, complete crosswords and spend time with her dog, Daisy and cat, Gracie. She was also an avid UCONN Basketball and Patriots fan.

The family would like to thank the Foothills Visiting Nurses’ Association in Winsted for their kindness and care.

In addition to her husband, Dianne is survived by her beloved children, Tracy, Shawn and Ted; her grandchildren, Josh, Sean, Zack, Katie Grace, Taylor and Jared; several nieces, nephews and many cherished friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gordon H. Bezanson, Jr., and her close niece, Debbie.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 4 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church, Winsted at 11 AM with burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Winsted.
