Obituary for Evan Michael Zenuh

ZENUH – Evan Michael Zenuh, 15, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his home. He was born March 5, 2003 in Hartford; the cherished son of Shawn Michael Zenuh and Jennifer (Phelps) Zenuh and the loving brother of Dylan Lewis Zenuh, Nolan Russell Zenuh and Kaitlyn Gwen Zenuh. Evan was a devoted member of the North Congregational Church his whole life. As an Honor student at Northwestern Regional #7, he was always on the go and his parents could not have asked for a better son. He was a talented athlete who “ran like the wind” as a varsity soccer player not only at school but as well at CT Rush Central Soccer; the Premier Soccer Club and The Highlander Travel Soccer Club. Evan was also a sprinter for the Northwestern Regional #7 Spring Track Team. Evan loved to go to the movies, hang out with his close circle of friends and make people laugh. He was an avid collector and skilled builder of LEGOS. He will be missed beyond measure by all who were fortunate enough to be family and friends and their loss is infinite. In addition to his devoted immediate family, he leaves grandparents, Fran and George Phelps of New Hartford and Carolyn and Rudolph Zenuh of Southington; his Aunt and Uncle, Laurie and Dwayne Roberts of Cheyenne, Wyoming and cousin Andrew Roberts, his Uncle, William and Linda Phelps of Canton, cousins, Brian and Jonathan Phelps of Canton, his Aunt, Elizabeth Phelps Hadden of Avon; and second aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and close school community. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of life in honor of Evan will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Chatterley’s Banquet Facility, 372 Pinewoods Road, Torrington at 11 AM with a gathering to follow. The family is asking that all team members, both past and present show support by wearing their jerseys from the teams in which Evan played. The family also requests that any other students who attend wear green in honor of Evan. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Scholarship in Honor of Evan, C/O Greenwood Foundation, P.O. Box 834, Winsted, CT 06098 and please write “Zenuh” in the memo line. Visit an online guestbook at Montano-shea.com.
