Obituary for Paul Dufour

WINSTED - Paul Dufour, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was the loving husband of Catherine (Cianci) Dufour for 63 years. Born April 15, 1931 in Winchester; the son of the late Paul Henry Dufour, Jr., and Margaret (Mara) Dufour.

Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951 – 1953 in the Korean War. He retired in 1992 as Manager after 33 years of employment at North Road Toy store where he was affectionately known as the “toy man." He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves two sons, James Dufour and Eric Dufour, both of Winsted; five daughters, Sharon Dufour of Winsted, Donna (Mark) Medara of Colebrook, Diana Fetzer of Barkhamsted, Laurie (Jim) Freeman of Barkhamsted and Terri (Doug) Kenneson of Colebrook; grandchildren, Abbey Medara, Michael Cesnak, Sarah Freeman, Brett Kenneson, Chelsea Perreault, Taylor Fetzer and Amanda Fetzer; great grandchildren, Braeden, Tristan, Keegan and one great grandson on the way.

Friends may call on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford from 5 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Parish (Formerly Immaculate Conception Church) in New Hartford at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visit an online guestbook at Montano-shea.com.
