110 Years and Finally Home

This is a story, that needs to be told
Of a very special woman, who is a treasure to behold
For this is a lady, who is truly beyond compare
And the life she lived, was certainly special and rare
Because Juliette had seen it all, through so many years
There have been lots of smiles, as well as lots of tears
Because she had lived in a time, that to us almost doesn’t seem real
That we have read only in books, and can only imagine how it would feel
For she was born in a year, before even the creation of the Model T
And even she could not have dreamed, of all the things she would see
She lived through the years, that would see two terrible World Wars
She would see a Depression, that would hit at all of their cores
And during this time, she would marry the man of her dreams
Juliette and Ernest, would become the greatest of teams
For they always lived free, they truly enjoyed life
They did so many things, as a loving husband and wife
Like doing crazy stunts, up in their plane
People that would see them, would sometimes think they were insane
Or ride a big orange Harley on the vast open road
And feel so very lucky, for there was nothing they owed
Except to greatly enjoy, the times with each other
And that would include, the day Juliette would become a mother
For she would have her baby girl Carol, who right from the start
Would bring her happiness and joy, and really light up her heart
And Carol would grow up, to be the apple of Juliette’s eye
And when she would look at her daughter, she just couldn’t help but sigh
So their family would prosper, they would continue to thrive
Until Juliette’s beloved Ernest, would no longer survive
But as heartbroken as she was, she knew she had to continue to live
And to make her life worth living, and always continue to give
For she would now spread her love to her grandsons she would adore
Spending time with Louie and Jerry would just make her heart soar
And then came Leah and Collen, her two great granddaughters made of super and spice
Her family was complete and everything nice
And she loved to can and crochet, to garden and sew
But when she would paint, her blood really would flow
So let us now take the time, and for a toast
To a wonderful, sweet lady, who has given us her most
Juliette always had a big smile on her face
And now we know she is together with Ernest in her rightful place
Although we are sad and will miss all her special ways
We can look forward to seeing her in Heaven’s beautiful endless days
